Athena Connecting with Area Colleges
Athena Middle and High Schools have reached out to several area teacher education colleges. As a result over 10 math education majors from Nazareth, St. John Fisher, Brockport, and Roberts Wesleyan have come in to help students in our schools. They have assisted in normal classroom instruction, AIS, advisement, core extention, and after school help. These college students worked with both middle and high school students and helped with some of the larger class sizes and high needs areas. As a result of this project, both Athena students and college students learned a great deal. The Athena students had more individual instruction and the college students continued their journey of becoming teachers. This project will continue in the Spring and we look forward to the same great results.
